Arnica Recovery Balm
Description
A concentrated, cooling arnica balm for active bodies and everyday knocks. Handcrafted in the UK with Golden Arnica, shea butter, avocado and calendula, and finished with a refreshing hit of menthol and peppermint, this rich anhydrous balm cools on contact and leaves hard-working skin feeling soothed, conditioned and cared for.
Why it works
A favourite among runners, gym-goers and anyone on their feet all day. It's built on a concentrated Golden Arnica macerate — far richer than the watered-down arnica creams and gels of lesser brands — blended in synergy with avocado, calendula and shea butter, then lifted with menthol and peppermint for a clean cooling sensation the moment it lands. A considered cool-down for post-workout muscles, tired legs and everyday knocks.
Fully anhydrous, with no water thinning it out, the balm melts smoothly into skin and absorbs fast, leaving no grease or mess on skin or clothing. It's rich yet clean-finishing, made to be felt, not just worn. There's no synthetic fragrance, no parabens, no sulfates and no fillers — just a concentrated, plant-based blend doing the work.
Since 2007, Sera Organics has been crafting plant-based, cruelty-free skincare from a small workshop in Essex. Doctor-developed and dermatologist-approved, this balm is made for daily use on hard-working skin. For any muscle or joint concern that feels persistent or uncomfortable, a GP or pharmacist can always offer guidance.
How to use
Warm a small amount between your fingers and massage into clean, dry skin over the area you wish to soothe until fully absorbed. Use up to four times daily, or whenever active skin would welcome a cooling lift. A little goes a long way.
For external use only. As with any new balm, perform a patch test on the inner forearm for 24 hours before first use. Avoid broken skin and contact with eyes. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct light.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the balm feel like on the skin?
You feel the cool hit the moment it lands. It's a rich, concentrated balm that melts on contact and absorbs without leaving a greasy film, with a clean menthol-and-peppermint coolness that lifts as it goes on. Most customers find a small amount is all they need.
When should I use it?
It's made for active bodies — a cooling cool-down for post-workout muscles, tired legs and the everyday knocks that come with sport and a busy life. Many customers keep a tin in their gym bag and use it after training, after a long day on their feet, or before bed.
What makes it a "Recovery" balm?
It reflects how concentrated the blend is — built on a high proportion of Golden Arnica macerate plus nourishing avocado, calendula and shea, with no water diluting it. It's a richer, more intensive balm than a standard everyday moisturiser, designed for skin that works hard and wants focused, cooling comfort.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
The balm is built around plant-based ingredients and is free from synthetic fragrance, parabens and sulfates. It does contain menthol and peppermint, which deliver the cooling sensation but can occasionally be reactive on very sensitive skin. We always recommend a patch test on the inner forearm for 24 hours before first use, and discontinuing if any redness or discomfort develops.
Can I use it during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
This balm contains arnica, menthol and peppermint, which aren't universally recommended during pregnancy without professional guidance. We'd suggest checking with your GP, midwife or pharmacist before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
How long does a 60g tin last?
Because only a small amount is needed each time, a 60g tin lasts most customers a good while with regular use. Stored away from direct heat and light, the balm has a 24-month shelf life and is best-before dated on the tin.
