Yarrow Extreme Balm | Soothing Herbal Balm for Delicate Skin
Description
A concentrated herbal balm for soothing comfort on delicate, sensitive skin. Handcrafted in the UK with yarrow, calendula and tamanu, and finished with a cooling note of peppermint, this rich botanical balm is made to keep sensitive areas of skin feeling calm, comfortable and well cared for.
Why it works
A favourite among customers looking for a gentle, natural balm for delicate and easily irritated skin. It brings together yarrow and calendula — two botanicals long valued in traditional skincare for caring for sensitive skin — with tamanu and turmeric, and a cooling touch of peppermint that gives a soft, refreshing sensation on contact.
The balm is built on a base of shea butter, beeswax, coconut and jojoba oils, which melt smoothly into the skin to create a comforting, protective layer that helps skin feel soft and cared for. It's rich yet fast-absorbing, leaving no greasy residue. There's no synthetic fragrance, no parabens and no dyes — just a concentrated, plant-based blend.
Since 2007, Sera Organics has been crafting plant-based, cruelty-free skincare from a small workshop in Essex. Doctor-developed and dermatologist-approved, this balm is gentle enough for sensitive skin and made for everyday use. For any skin concern that feels persistent or uncomfortable, a GP or pharmacist can always offer guidance.
How to use
Apply a small amount of balm to clean, dry skin and massage gently into the area you wish to soothe until absorbed. Use daily, or whenever skin would welcome a little extra comfort. A little goes a long way.
For external use only. As with any new balm, perform a patch test on the inner forearm for 24 hours before first use. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct light.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the balm feel like on the skin?
It's a rich, concentrated balm that melts on contact and absorbs without leaving a greasy film. The peppermint gives a gentle cooling sensation as it goes on — a soft, refreshing feel rather than anything sharp. Most customers find a small amount is all they need.
Can it be used on delicate or sensitive areas?
Yes — it's formulated as a gentle balm for delicate, sensitive skin, and many customers use it on more sensitive areas of the body. As with any balm, it's for external skin only. We'd always suggest a patch test first, and if you have a specific concern about a particular area, a GP or pharmacist can give you tailored advice.
What makes this the "Extreme" balm?
"Extreme" reflects how concentrated the blend is — it's a richer, more intensive balm than a standard everyday moisturiser, with a higher proportion of botanical actives like yarrow, calendula and tamanu. It's designed for skin that wants more focused comfort and care.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
The balm is built around gentle, plant-based ingredients and is free from synthetic fragrance, parabens and dyes. It does contain peppermint, yarrow and turmeric in small amounts, which can occasionally be reactive on very sensitive skin. We always recommend a patch test on the inner forearm for 24 hours before first use, and discontinuing if any redness or discomfort develops.
Can I use it during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
This balm contains peppermint, yarrow and turmeric essential oils, which aren't universally recommended during pregnancy without professional guidance. We'd suggest checking with your GP, midwife or pharmacist before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
How long does a 30g tin last?
Because only a small amount is needed each time, a 30g tin lasts most customers a good while with regular use. Stored away from direct heat and light, the balm has a 12-month shelf life once opened.
